ruined couch with cleaning :(?

ok i just got a used couch that has some stains…looks like a few from juice and others maybe like a sweat circle…i used foaming upholstery cleaner and let it dry etc… and it dried and looks hoorible like a huge sweat dark circle….how can i fix this it didnt remove the stain but made it worse

It seems as though you have a water circle with residue from the cleaner you used, which is a common problem. Here are a few solutions I hope will help! One would be to simply purchase a slip cover and be done with it! Another option would be to rent a steamer and steam it out; this will clean the entire sofa and steam out your water/residue circle. You could contact a upholstery or furniture store and inquire about having the sofa professionally cleaned; most companies will come to your house to do so. Lastly, you could remove the cover, if it is removable and attempt to further clean the stains, providing the opportunity to clean the entire surface, rather than a stain spot, which caused the circling. Best of luck to you!

Daisy pretty much said it all, but I had one other idea.

We bought a Green Machine which is a portable rug/upholstery cleaning thingy. You might get the mark out if you uniformly wash it with the Green M. It is also great for car upholstery, drapes, and when the dog barfs on the rug.

Are the stains on the sitting cushions? Is it a washable fabric?
I use to take mine off, toss in the wash and spin cycle twice, put back on cushions and let dry. I never had a problem doing it that way.
