My four year old son spilled chocolate milk in the back seat of my car. I soaked up the milk as soon as it happened (or so I thought), but a few days later my car began to STINK! After trying a carpet cleaner with a scubbie top, thinking it was just on the upholstery with no results, I finally took out the back seat of my car to find that the cushion/foam that the seat is made of is growing mold and covered with dried chocolate milk. Any suggestions to help get rid of the smell?? My car is a lease and I MUST get this taken care of! I did try saturating the seat with Kids N’ Pets cleaner and it is sitting outside drying, but last I checked it still smells… HELP!!
I would take it to a professional…
It may be pricey, but probably cheaper than any kind of fee the leasing dealership would charge you!
Good luck, hope I helped!
Idk get rid of it save u the time

Take it to a car wash that does detail work, they have special wet vacs that take care of this sort of thing. That is your best bet, or rent a wet vac yourself, but I would leave it up to the proffesionals. Best of luck!

nothing stinks more than spilled milk in a car. I wish I had a solution. I just stop letting the kids have milk in the car, cause it is too risky.
carpet washers, maybe, or take it to one of those places that washes cars by hand.

If you ever used a sponge to clean the dishes you already know what you are facing. You must soak and wring out the foam rubber until all the milk is washed out. After it is clean you must neutralize the sour milk odor. I would try with those car smell canisters they sell at auto parts stores. They have an overwhelming stink, but it is an expected stink in a car. Hopefully you will have some time for the store bought stink to minimize before you turn it in.

Things You’ll Need:
Towel
Water
White Vinegar
Baking Soda
enzyme odor remover
vacuum cleaner
fan or hair dryer
Step1
Blot up any remaining liquid with a towel.
Step2
Pour baking soda over the area where the milk was spilled.
Step3
Sprinkle cold water on top of the baking soda.
Step4
Let stand overnight.
Step5
Vacuum to remove baking soda.
Step6
If the smell remains, try treating the area with white vinegar. Let sit for 15 minutes, then blot excess vinegar with paper towels.
Step7
If vinegar fails to beat the stink, tackle it with an enzyme odor remover. These products use biological organisms that consume odors and can be found at stores that specialize in cleaning products.
Step8
Use a commercial leather cleaner and odor eliminator on leather upholstery. Your dealer may carry these products.
Step9
Allow the area to dry completely: residual moisture can cause mildew. Use a hair dryer or fan if necessary, being careful not to scorch carpet fibers with a hair dryer.

If the smell is limited to a floor mat, it might be easier to replace the mat with a new one.
Consider applying a product such as Scotchgard to cloth upholstery and carpets to repel stains. Use Scotchgard Leather Protector for leather upholstery.
If a substantial amount of milk has spilled and gone sour, or if the milk has soaked deeply into the seat or carpet, you may need to seek professional help from an auto detailer.
