Has any air-conditioning contractors done a house with polyurethane foam?

I have a builder that is building a house that has spray foam in the walls and on the roof. I talked to the insulator and he said a rule of thumb is to use 1000 sq ft per ton, I can’t use just a rule of thumb in need something solid. Does anybody know where to get info on how to run a load with this stuff? The newest edition of Manual J I have doesn’t have anything in there about it. He can’t give me any R-values on any of this because he says the values will be to low and it will look like I need to take out more BTUH. How am I supposed to do a job when I can’t find any info about it.
