The wife and I purchased an entry-level Tempurpedic mattress, and the recommended $145.00 pad a year ago. We both hated it. After two weeks our backs were hurting, we would get too hot on it, and neither of us could find just the right setting number. And if you try to add air during the night, the pump/compressor wakes your mate.
We were more than happy to spend the $100 to ship it back.

The only good to come from the purchase was the pad, (that was not returnable). It made our old mattress feel like new.

If you are going to get one, opt for the high-end model, that comes with alot of foam.

Good Luck
