I am working on something that would require my getting like a sheet of foam rubber or something that I could cut pieces out (about a foot in length) and that I can attach to a sleeve, also flexible enough for it to bend a little bit with my arm?
so basically, need to find a place that offers sheets of foam
the bedroll mats at the hardware stores is probably what you are looking for here. It is really very inexpensive that way. If you buy it at Joannes or Micheals you will pay what my daughter was looking at in tool box liners at Sears!!! Instead of $25 we paid about $5 and it was enough to go under a bedroll so we had some left over after doing her toolboxes.
You will find a use for the rest of it!!
You can use the Aleene’s glue or super glue if you are careful to glue it together, but I liked where we put duct tape on it.
Try a fabric store like Jo-Ann fabrics. They sell sheets of foam, like what you’d use for a cushion. I don’t think it is foam rubber, but I am not sure of the proper name for it. It comes in sheets from thin to inches thick. They make a spray adhesive if you want to stick it to anything or put pieces of the foam together.
