i have recently discovered packing foam that dissolves cleanly and completely in water. what is it made of?

it was in a package that was sent to me, so i have no way of finding out where it came from in order to track it down.
I have handled biodegradable packing foam made up of dried dough such rice flour, or other starches. It is supposed to be more environmentally friendly then plastic foams

i think it is made from some kind of starch, from corn or something, it is kind of fun melting it down the sink isnt it.

That type of packing foam is my favorite (I really hate the styrofoam type!) It’s made of cornstarch and it is so easy to dispose of. It doesn’t stick all over and won’t be around after we are gone!

They are made from corn starch. I used to always playing with those and i still do!! Also they have some for kids where you can make things out of them by licking one end of a little foamy thing and sticking them together to build things. Great fun!!
