I just bought a Samsung 40" LCD TV yesterday. As soon as I turned it on I noticed white spots on the screen right where the foam packing had been on the top center edge and the bottom center edge of the screen. They almost looked like creases with the white light shining around them. After about 2 hours of being on, the top spot went away but the bottom white spot is still there. Not sure if the foam had pressed in on the screen causing this or is it normal? I might return it
Take it back asap and get a brand new one – tell them to make sure it is perfect or you’ll take your business somewhere else!

Give it a few days, then take it back if they don’t go away.

If it is a new one and if you have the kind of deficiency due to poor packing, what stops you from calling the guys for replacement?

Return it! It’s too bad it’s so big and now you have to try to drag it back to the store. I think if it were me I would be tempted to just deal with it too, but those things are too expensive to put up with them not being right.
Get another one right away.

i think that the foam had to much pressure on the screen and tokk out some of the liquid crystals and you might have to replace the screenn or return it
