I need to cut a foam board…but I don’t have time to get a hot wire?

I need to make a model out of the foam, but I can’t go out and get a hot wire…What are some house hold products that can cut a foam board (like a poster board of foam) into straight rectangles?

OK,,, it’s thin — RIDGID — foam board – check out the kitchen shears. I know it’s not sexy like an electric knife or hot wire,,, but it’s safe, dependable, easy to guide,,,, all the stuff you need.

Use a sharp, non-serrated butcher knife. That will go through it with no problem. Hope this helps.

Use a very sharp utility knife with the blade extended to the thickness of the foam

a knife or a grinder. hot wire will be safer to use because foam is so easy to cut that using a knife or a grinder may get away from you with out you noticing so it takes a very patient person that isn’t pron to being careless
