Also, many cheap mattress toppers sold locally in stores are often cut 3-5 inches too short and to narrow. If you cut the king down the middle, along the length of the memory foam mattress topper, the 2 resulting pieces will be 38" x 80". These 2 pieces would be perfect for a twin XL mattress. To make them fit a twin mattress, cut another 5" off the length. A twin mattress is 38" x 75". Memory foam is very easy to cut. You can do it with scissors or a sharp knife. But it's hard to do it well (straight and pretty). I've cut many pieces of memory foam down with both a knife and scissors. Use a measuring tape to find where to make the cuts, mark a line with a pencil, and then try to cut as straight as you can. The piece of foam looks a little jagged, but when you put it on the bed, and put a fitted sheet over the top of it, it looks fine. You can put the cut edge toward a wall and you will never notice it. We had this issue last week. It will be too small for the beds. When we did it, we got to twins for our king bed... hahaha. It stuck out about 8 inches (4 on each side) you would be way better off just buying two seperate ones. Besides if you try to cut them, it won't be easy, might be crooked, and more than likely won't last as long.<br><b>References : </b><br> No it won’t work. We had this issue last week. However the memory foam is only 74 to 76 inches wide and long . It veries.
