Where can I buy foam / rubber sheets? Do you think Walgreens or Walmart sell them?
Thank ^_^

Some Walmart stores have great craft sections and sell just about anything like this. Some dollar stores also have craft sections that are worth checking out but Michaels has a bigger selection.

If cheney punched bush in the face would it make the same sound as someone punching foam rubber?

Isn’t that a philosophy question?

No, it wouldn’t. In fact, at the speed that Mr. Cheney is likely to be able to punch anyone or anything, you probably wouldn’t actually hear the sound of the punch, but rather Pres. Bush’s grunt or whatever sound he’d make.

However, if you put Cheney in a sound room with foam rubber and had him punch it, and recorded that sound, then you did the same thing with Pres. Bush, and recorded that sound, they would be distinctly different, owing to the compressional at material properties of both mediums.

Is there such thing as a rubber or foam violin or viola?

December 28, 2009 - 6:01 pm 4 Comments

hello, i was wondering if they had this because i think it would be funny to take a rubber violin and viola and throw it across the room to freak out my teacher. At first he would be freaked, but then he would think it was funny.

yea, i think it would be super funny, i might have to make one myself,

maybe make a mold with a crappy instrument
yeah, if i made a paper one it would be too much work to just be ruined after one throw, in my opinion

Ha, that’s be fantastic to see.

Well they make plastic violins:

But they look pricey and I guess they’d break if you threw them. Pity.

They make a foam one, but it’s not very realistic (just for sizing students.)

With a ‘hot wire’ or a hot knife.

where could i find a foam rubber cushion? like what store thats not online?

December 23, 2009 - 8:19 am 4 Comments

i can’t shop online so i need to find an online store that has foam rubber cushions. help please?

A large fabric store is sure to have them they can even cut to size H x L X W. Failing that get foam from Wally World and cut it to the size you need with a serrated knife.

Dog training, how do you stop dogs from chewing furniture? Vinyl and foam rubber? I’ve tried all the usual?

I’ve got two three year old lab crosses, they were brought up in kennels and although not domestic animals are very friendly. the problem comes when they are left alone for any length of time, they chew the sofa to bits. They have all manner of chew toys etc but they love the sofa. I’ve tried pet repellent, even black pepper but all to no avail……any other serious idea’s?

Crate them when they’re unattended. If they were brought up in kennels, they shouldn’t have a problem with it. It is much safer for them and will save you a fortune in replacements! Secrets to Dog Training, by Dog Trainer Expert, Daniel Stevens. It’s a terrific book on how to train dog.

What kind of glue can I use to glue polyester fabric to rubber foam. The foam/fabric will need to stretch.?

December 10, 2009 - 11:57 am 1 Comment

The rubber foam/fabric belt applies a label to a bottle and will need to stretch without slipping.

To tell the truth, I would hand-sew the fabric to itself on the back of the item.. It’s hard to find glue that will stick to fabric AND foam rubber, and if you glued the front, it would be unable to stretch.
